Job Description:
We are looking for a Human Resources Director
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage strategic planning for the Human Resources department
- Manage all aspects of HR activities with the help of a passionate and autonomous team (staffing, employer branding, onboarding, training and skills development, performance management, labour relations, TFW, OHS, salary management and compensation)
- Lead a high-performing HR team and foster its professional development
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and legal standards
- Oversee the payroll management process
- Drive initiatives to improve organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent retention
- Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and needs
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, providing HR insights and solutions
- Manage employee well-being
Desired Profile:
Requirements
- University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in managing HR teams
- Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Experience in a manufacturing or food environment (an asset)
- Strong knowledge of labour and OSH laws and regulations
- Ease in administrative recruitment processes
- Expertise in HR strategy, change management and organizational development
- Technological agility (Office 365, payroll system)
- Comfortable working with diversity and inclusion
- Fluency in French
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
